The Positivity Wave

Happy Saturday! #ThePositivityWave 73

Welcome to todayโ€™s Happy Friday! My remedy against feeling down is to make a list of all the good things in my life. It can be anything. Really, anything. The smallest gesture from a stranger can change your day, if you open your eyes. Now, I am a pessimistic and I need daily reminders to look for the bright side. Maybe you are too, or maybe the state of our world is weighing on you. In any case, hereโ€™s your shot at some happy things!

  • More dog cuteness to help when days are too cold or too long ๐Ÿ’•
  • I took part in the wonderful readalong for Finding Henri Applebee and it was amazing to share thoughts and ideas about the book. I was also lucky to be live on Instagram to discuss the book thanks to Kelly Lacey, awesome book blogger who took over One More Chapter’s Instagram account. It was really fun. I recommend you try, especially now that we’re back being cooped up home.
  • The festivities for my 30th birthdays are still going ๐Ÿ˜‚ I couldn’t resist the Amazon Prime Days and bought myself a Kindle Oasis. I keep telling myself it’s okay because I use it for work, but I still feel guilty about splurging…
  • Tea and chocolate in bed.
  • A good week at work. My confidence is growing like fungus in a basement! ๐Ÿคฃ
  • Grateful for a new weekend and time to read!
  • I’m excited to try and fill in my reading journal with more info! I need to catch up!!
  • Book mail, virtual or postal!
  • TV show recommendations. I may not have time to watch much TV but I love getting recs! Next on my list is Emily in Paris.
  • Shouting Jeez Louise just because I feel like it ๐Ÿ˜‚
  • Mindfulness with FitBit. Early days but I’m giving it a try!

That’s it for this week! Stay safe, smile, and enjoy the little things!

Much love,
Meggy xx

  1. Great happy waves this week. I’m looking forward to your thoughts on Emily in Paris.
I love that you treated yourself for your birthday. What a perfect time to get a new kindle. I haven’t heard of kindle oasis before?
    My happy moments include:
My first new haircut since lockdown. Took me a while to get it done but I feel so much better with it cut and coloured.
Tea and cake are always on my happy moments.
I’m also happy to have been asked to take part in a buddy read next month. And I got the book from the library app that I downloaded ๐Ÿ˜Š
Hope your week is good Meggy

    1. Emily in Paris… I got offended for all French and Americans out there, but I binge-watched anyway! I did a lot of eye-rolling, and Emily is not my favorite person!

I am sure your haircut is fab and you look gorgeous!
I tried buddy-reading but I can’t stick with it, haha. I hope you have a lovely time ๐Ÿ™‚

Love all that cuteness! They really are adorable ๐Ÿ˜ Iโ€™ve not heard of the Oasis but it looks bigger. You loving it?

Have a fantastic week, Meggy๐Ÿ’œ Glad your confidence is growing. New jobs are so unnerving for the first few weeks. Youโ€™ve got this!

    1. It was back in September, but I’m still treating myself :p

The Oasis is amazing! I was sure the differences with the Paperwhite would be small, but no, nope!

Thank you so much, I hope you’re having a good week filled with smiles and kindness xxx

  3. You don’t have to feel guilty at all!! I think there are more expensive hobbies ๐Ÿ˜‰ Do you have to have a special ‘Prime’ membership to get a reduced price? Just asking ‘for a friend’ ๐Ÿ˜. I see you’ll have to decide on a new protective cover too now.. I’m already curious to see it. Have a great week lovely ๐Ÿ˜˜
