Welcome to today’s Happy Friday! My remedy against feeling down is to make a list of all the good things in my life. It can be anything. Really, anything. The smallest gesture from a stranger can change your day, if you open your eyes. Now, I am a pessimistic and I need daily reminders to look for the bright side. Maybe you are too, or maybe the state of our world is weighing on you. In any case, here’s your shot at some happy things!
- New shampoo and conditioner! I like several brands and love finding new natural products. Simple self-care is always lovely!
- Good old croque-monsieurs!
- Reading time with Iris. I really enjoyed Expiry Date by Rachel Ward!
- My car is repaired, so I’ve been enjoying little rides on my own with the music at full blast!
- Some pampering at the Atelier du Sourcil. My hairdresser and beauty salon have the same posh look 🤣 But they have good tea and cookies! I can’t wait for my hair to be cut… Must make an appointment!
- My first trip to a bookstore since February! I miss my London places, but Mollat isn’t too bad until I can get back!
- Alone.. Not in the dark, but in Bordeaux! Big victory for someone whose agoraphobia had been kicking her ass recently! It may still be too hot for me, but this city is beautiful.
- Work is going well. I’m not asking for anything more than that. Being happy to wake up and sit at my desk is amazing.
- Being the recipient of the loveliest messages filled with love.
Stay safe, look out for the little moments,
and share the positivity 😊

And I know I am forgetting people!! 🙈
Well done for getting out and about. It’s a strange time that will take some getting used to.
I’m looking forward to a haircut to. They open here on July 15th.
My waves include finishing a 5 star read and choosing my next read.
Enjoying an Indian take away with hubby on
our anniversary .
Enjoying a walk out in the fresh air and seeing a long line of painted stones and shells which had been left by probably a school or nursery.
Have a good week Meggy xxx

It definitely felt a bit weird to be out, but I was so pleased to resist the hot weather and just go walk around!
I so want a haircut and a color but I don’t feel comfortable going for now.
I love 5-star reads!
I think I’ve never eaten Indian!! I am pleased you had a lovely anniversary. Love is not dead!
Thinking of you lots! xxx

Wonderful photos of Bordeaux! I have never been there, but it looks like beautiful city and I’m glad you managed to get out and about. Are there any techniques for dealing with agoraphobia? Thanks for spreading the positivity – and for linking to my post! 😀

Bordeaux looks beautiful, definitely somewhere I’d love to explore.
Self-care is the best, I opened a new shower gel last night and the gorgeous smell made me feel ten times better!
Have a good week.

Yes! It’s in the small things, sometimes, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Beautiful. That city is gorgeous! Wonder how it looks like before the pandemic. And it was almost weird for me to see you at a bookstore. How times have changed! A trip to the bookstore is now so out of the ordinary. Hoping that soon we can all go out without so much worrying. Oh, and happy to know that your work is going well! Are you back in your office?

Bordeaux hasn’t changed much since the pandemic. Things are coming back to normal, and it’s scary! I know! It used to be so normal to go to the bookstore, and looking at the pictures, it feels odd to have been in the shop!
Thank you 🙂 I am working from home until I can find a permanent job in my field!

I am lucky my hair stylist works out of her home and only one client at a time, so I feel safe going. Have a wonderful upcoming week.
