Welcome to today’s Happy Friday! My remedy against feeling down is to make a list of all the good things in my life. It can be anything. Really, anything. The smallest gesture from a stranger can change your day, if you open your eyes. Now, I am a pessimistic and I need daily reminders to look for the bright side. Maybe you are too, or maybe the state of our world is weighing on you. In any case, here’s your shot at some happy things!
- I can’t run at the moment, but I love listening to my running playlist on Spotify.
- This week I got the chance to make my mother happy by organizing us a little 800km trip to see my grandmother in her nursing home and attend my uncle’s small wedding ceremony. The smile on her face when she realized she was going is forever seared in my mind.
- Dog love, again and forever.

- For the very first time, I feel I have found my place in the Publishing business, not just the bookish community. A small but priceless place. I’ve never felt so excited to ‘go to work’ every day. I learn, I laugh, I give and I receive. I am one lucky girl.
- I went live! If you watched Noir at the Bar Edinburgh last night, you may have spotted me at the end… I was terrible 🤣 but I can’t thank Jacky and Kelly enough for letting me part of their amazing events. And I had so much fun today is hangover day!
- More pastries! Apricot pie is yummy!
- On a much less healthy note, Burger King reopened and I couldn’t resist…

- Caught up with a darling friend and had the most fun. Thanks Zoom for keeping us all in touch!!!
- I have a new passion: hoovering. Don’t ask.
- Yûki’s birthday is tomorrow and I can’t wait for her to get her presents!

- Thanks to social media, events, and other virtual goodies (WhatsApp, my love), I haven’t felt lonely once this week. I am not taking this for granted and cherish every moment.
That’s it for this week! Take care, enjoy the little moments, and share the love!
Always lovely to read you are doing so well Meggy! I hope you are back up and running soon (and I hope you aren’t because you’ve hurt something?)
Have a lovely weekend and enjoy some more delicious pastries 😀 😀

Thank you 🙂 I focus on the positive, but not all is roses and happiness. Still, it feels good to leave the rest behind!
I stopped running because of the virus. I am taking a second test this week to count my antibodies.
I hope you are having a lovely week xxx

I’m so glad you had lots of love filled times this week.
Hoovering???? Really, you need to get back to the running when you are able! Hey keeps the floors clean though. 👍
How lovely you got to see your Grandmother and uncle. Your Mom must have been so excited. I hope all are well.
Mmm burger king yum!
My waves include, getting chosen to represent a craft company and get freebies 🎉
Cake! I found more delicious ones to enjoy.
I spoke to my Gran and she said I was “her favourite”. Even if she didn’t mean it, it’s good to hear.
Happy weekend Meggy.

We’re supposed to see my family during the last week of June, all is planned, but it’ll depend on how well we all feel. Health first!
I just love that you’re an ambassador for a craft company!!!
That’s so sweet, a lovely moment with your Gran ❤️

I have a love/hate relationship with technology but right now, I can’t imagine living without it!
Thank you 🙂 I love focusing on the good things, even if sometimes it gives the impression all is good in my life!
The trip in during the last week of June!
I hope you’re having a lovely week xx

I totally get it, if I focus on the positive, the negative doesn’t overtake me, which it easily can. Big storm last night, blew down part of my fence. I need to get it fixed quickly because of the pool in the backyard. I know what I will be doing today.
