Welcome to today’s Happy Friday! My remedy against feeling down is to make a list of all the good things in my life. It can be anything. Really, anything. The smallest gesture from a stranger can change your day, if you open your eyes. Now, I am a pessimistic and I need daily reminders to look for the bright side. Maybe you are too, or maybe the state of our world is weighing on you. In any case, here’s your shot at some happy things!
- Two brownies baked and eaten, courtesy of Claire’s recipe!

- Back in London, I fell in love with a painting, and the owner has offered to have it sent it to France for free if I still want it. It’s adorable. The painting means a lot to me. I have never been sensible to art, but this piece talks to my heart. I hope I will be able to gather the money and get it!
- Family portrait! I never manage to take pictures of me with Yûki and Iris because 1) they move too much 2) they hate the camera 3) they hate my paparazzi mode. But I did it!!! Look how cute we are!!! Okay, Yûki is not impressed and Iris clearly wonders what’s wrong with me, but hey, I’m smiling, haha!

- I saw a cute snail and didn’t kill it with my big feet… Let me explain. Most evening when I walk the dogs, I see snails all around, and some parts of the path don’t have much light so… When a crunch is heard, it’s usually that I’ve murdered a snail. But not that night! It was safe on the stem and surely got back to his family!

- Week 3 of the Couch to 5K over! I have no idea how it’s happened. I enjoy it. Really. What happened to me??????? I have become a monster!!!!!!
- While my books are still held hostage by the post office, I received the remaining of my running gear. More clothes to sweat in!
- THREE DAYS WITHOUT BITING MY NAILS!!!!
- Dogs walks in the heat without fainting or swearing, whop whop! And my sunglasses manage to hide the awful eyebrow situation! 😂

- My name is in a book! A book that is breaking my heart at the moment, but still! The right spelling, and an awesome character. I love it! Growing up, I was the only Meggy I knew! 🤣 (ps: the book is The Day We Meet Again by Miranda Dickinson, who is adorable!!!)

Stay safe, do what makes you happy and what relaxes you. Love, laugh, be kind to yourself, and share the positivity ❤️
I’m so glad you posted as I missed this yesterday! These posts always cheer me up! 😃 xxx

Ooh those brownies look so good. I need to go back and look at Claire’s recipes. She has so many delicious ones there..
Hey 3 days, good going. Will today be the 4th with no nail biting 🤞😁
Your name in a book is amazing. That’s a fantastic happy wave.
Mine include:
I started a new exercise routine, day 4 of The Seven Minute routine. I don’t enjoy it yet, but I’m happy I started it. I hope it will become addictive and a bit like to couch to 5k that I will enjoy it eventually.
Lots of free time to craft and I found some UK people to swap craft projects with to so I get happymail back.
I found a new soft cheese I like, caramelized onion Philadelphia it’s delicious.
My morning reads in bed with a cuppa before I start my day. I’m steadily getting through my very thick book but loving each chapter.
Hope your week ahead has lots of happy waves in it Meggy.
Amanda xx

I want to try all of Claire’s recipes! They’re so easy and so delicious!
Yep, today was Day 4! I don’t know how long it’ll last, but it’s nice, except that my nails are too long to type on the laptop.
I hated my name when I was a teen, so seeing it in a book was a nice thing ❤
I just checked The Seven Minute routine, it sounds nice to integrate cardio training into your life. I really hope you start enjoying it soon!
I love your passion about crafting 🙂
I wish I could stay in bed to read in the morning, but the dogs wouldn't be happy!
Stay safe, my amazing friend xxx

Another thing to tick off the list, being named as a character in a book is so amazing! The pic of you with the little ones is just perfect, I love it! ♥️ Such a happy post this week, I’m glad so many positive things happened to you! 😘

I was so happy. It may seem like nothing but I used to be ashamed of my name so it made my heart swell! I am printing this picture of me and the babes when the lockdown is over! 😀 I hope you’re staying safe, love! xxx

Great job on 3 days of not biting your nails. I stopped when I was 10 — probably only because I accidentally swallowed a nail clipping and it got stuck in my tonsil. ICK! I had to get it pulled out at the ER. So embarrassing. Never did it again.

Oh, I love the BW of you with the puppies, you all look great, Sweetie! And who doesn’t love cookies, right? 😀
BY THE WAY, I hope you raise enough money to buy your painting, I know how that is. I nearly sold my soul to buy a painting of a rose, it was so beautiful. Will have to post a picture of it.

I’m glad you get why I feel so connected to the painting. I am waiting pay day to see what I can do! I dream of the painting so much, and now that I won’t be returning to the UK soon, I need it more than ever (the subject is Notting Hill, my favorite place) xx

Aww you are the cutest! You made me crave brownies now and I do miss being able to go outside for a walk so much… But at least there is still the garden whenever it’s not raining like right now. xD Seeing your name in a book is the best! It doesn’t happen that often to me either, so whenever I do see it, it makes me feel all fuzzy inside. Stay safe and well! ❤ xx

I am not sorry about the brownies :p I know, I miss walking out a lot too. I’m lucky as I get to go out to walk the dogs, and run for thirty minutes three times a week. But I keep reminding myself it could be worse, we will get through this!
Stay safe, darling! xxx
