Welcome to today’s Happy Friday! My remedy against feeling down is to make a list of all the good things in my life. It can be anything. Really, anything. The smallest gesture from a stranger can change your day, if you open your eyes. Now, I am a pessimistic and I need daily reminders to look for the bright side. Maybe you are too, or maybe the state of our world is weighing on you. In any case, here’s your shot at some happy things!
- The rain has come! Okay, it’s still super hot outside, but hey, watching it fall is so soothing.
- I reached the end of the second week of the Couch to 5K challenge earlier today!!!
- Talking about my running… I moved from my tiny corridor to our underground parking lot… and realized the corridor training hadn’t entirely been successful!!! Gosh I am exhausted now that I can actually jog in a wider space.

- Still on the running… I went a bit crazy and treated myself to a special running gear! Never thought I’d be so happy to get sportswear items 😂

- I had a good talk with my body. My stomach had been bothering me after breakfast, so I changed what I ate and Bam, magic, I feel better! Now I have to walk to the bakery every morning to get a baguette, yummy!
- A shower of books! I’ve been blessed with lots of lovely things to read and nothing beats it! But I REALLY have to stop buying books as if my life depends on it. …. Who am I fooling?
- Flowers! I don’t spend more than an hour per day outside, so I grab every opportunity to look at lovely flowers and fabulous colors.
- We received news from my gran’s nursing home and my wonderful granny was tested negative to the virus. There is currently sixteen cases where she lives so we’re taking things one day at a time, but it’s a relief for now.
- I listened to CDs… Like old times! I put the sound on and danced like Callie in Grey’s. As much as I like my giant laptop music library, there’s something special in putting a CD in a hi-fi system!
- Feet massages. I have no idea what I’m doing but my feet are enjoying it.
- Fewer naps! I’m still exhausted, but I’m trying not to mess up my sleeping pattern more than it already is…
- Chatting with my #CrimeCrew ❤️
Stay safe, do what makes you happy and what relaxes you. Love, laugh, be kind to yourself, and share the positivity ❤️
Nice running gear! I love buying sportswear, be careful – it’s addictive 😀 Good to hear about your gran, that must be a somewhat worrying situation. Have a great weekend!

It sounds like you are making the best of what is going on right now. I am very happy for you and your granny, I pray she will continue to be safe and healthy. It is funny that you think you are doing great and one little change, bam, I need to work harder. I find that happens to me all the time, but it is awesome that you are persevering. I love all the flowers you are seeing, I hope ours survive the snow today. Have a great week Meggy.

I am trying 🙂 There are lots of bad news and hard times, so every little joyful moment is special and I do my best to create more of them.

your running gears are great. I wish lock down is over soon here so I can go for walk with my daughter. She miss her evening walk and time out of home. This week has been great with blog anniversary. I upgraded WordPress (I hope my money is not wasted). I like few things I got with it, a better theme, fonts and I’m seeing good stats ever since I upgraded.

Thank you 🙂 It took me forever to choose what to buy to make the running even better, haha. It was a good distraction. Do you get allowed time to go out for walks? We get one hour per day here. Yes, blogiversaries are great! Happy WordPress birthday!!! 😀 I updated my blog too a couple of years ago and I saw the difference. Stay safe x

It’s not declared here that you can go out for walk. Those who really can’t stay come out for a while but not on main road only around the building streets as police patrols on main roads and cross roads. And nobody wants to risk, me too because my daughter is small and she wouldn’t understand to not touch anything or not to pick a pebble or wear a mask.
you too stay safe! xx

Wow positivity post 50 !!! Good going, that’s a whole lot of positive moments.
I love your yoga pose in the running gear. You look bendy and fit. 💛
Great news about your Gran. I hope she stays safe from the virus.
My positivity waves include;
I made muffins and they were tasty.
I binge watched Ozark while eating chocolate and tea.
I’m enjoying crafting and have plenty of time for it.
Lighter nights and seeing people clap for carers.
Stay safe and as positive as you can Meggy.

I can’t believe it’s the 50th wave!!! It makes me happy to look back at all the little things that matter.
I love that yoga pose, it’s one of my favorite. I feel so grounded when I stay in this position!
Muffins! I want some now, haha! I made a brownie for my mom, but I’m not too good with the cooking time.
I’ve added Ozark to my Netflix list now!
Take care, my darling friend xxx

Happy Friday! I am so happy your gran tested negative! Keep going on your running girl! I’m also trying to get into a workout routine right now, with the weather still iffy I’ll either go for a walk outside or ride the exercise bike inside. I think it’s really helping with mental and physical strength through this time. Stay safe, healthy and happy!!

I love flowers!
Can you temporarily move your grandmother out of her current situation?

Me too, they make me happy, but I suck at taking care of flowers in the house!
No, it’s impossible to move my grandmother. She has Alzheimer and cancer, the nursing home is a specialized facility so she can be comfortable.
