Welcome to today’s Happy Friday! My remedy against feeling down is to make a list of all the good things in my life. It can be anything. Really, anything. The smallest gesture from a stranger can change your day, if you open your eyes. Now, I am a pessimistic and I need daily reminders to look for the bright side. Maybe you are too, or maybe the state of our world is weighing on you. In any case, here’s your shot at some happy things!
- I walked 14km. 14 KILOMETRES. After a sleepless night. And I loved it. Now my legs hate me 😂
- Another battle against the NHS! Well, more precisely my GP, who decided to change the medication I am under without telling me. I only realised it when I got home after getting the prescription from the pharmacy… I was too trusting and didn’t check but YOU DO NOT CHANGE MENTAL ISSUES MEDS WITHOUT THE PATIENT’S CONSENT, especially when you have the previous prescription, from a freaking specialist, with the right names and dosage. It took one day, over ten phone calls, but I managed to get it sorted, without paying extra. I didn’t play in British nice, I went all crazy French. Bite me!
- I fell in love with Notting Hill, and of course, I don’t have pictures. I did the obvious and went to the Notting Hill bookshop because I loved the movie. I went to the park for the same reason…
- I set foot in an art gallery and actually enjoyed it. I even found an artist whose work I love so much I am thinking of getting a piece!!!
- I have had four meat-free days this week and it was easier than I thought!

- I made it to the new WordPress block editor. This is actually my second post with it. It was scary, but at least it solved the issue I had with Twitter and my images…
- I found my dream shoes… SHOES! Can’t wait for pay day!
- The Split season 2 is airing!!! David Tennant is not in it but it’s okay, you can’t have it all.
- I visited a store I had been dreaming about! Have you heard of Onda Beauty? If you’re looking for healthy skincare, this is the place to go (and they have a website if you can’t make it to London, or NY :p)
- Talking about Onda… I found my perfect deodorant! Yes, it must be part of my positivity waves for the week, as most products have nasty ingredients in it. Now I smell of lavender and it’s all good for my skin and the earth!

Looking good with the new WP editor. I still haven’t made the jump and will continue the old way as long as I can 😋 I’ve not heard of this brand of products. A little secret, I buy men’s deoderant that lasts 48 or 72hours. I find men’s deo more powerful and helpful than women’s. There’s no special scent so I hope nobody notices. I do spray perfume too so that camouflages my trick too. Happy weekend Meggy!

I was tired of the old editor playing up, so I jumped… It takes me longer to prepare posts, but in the end, I think it’s okay 🙂
Onda sells lots of different brands, but all natural, that’s why I love them! Ha, you’re not the only one, I always thought men’s deodorants were more efficient, but the ingredients are terrible. Happy last weekend at your old place!!! xxx

Fab post Meggy! Well done for getting your medication sorted that must have been so annoying for you. Unbelievable that they did that without consulting you!!! xx

Why would you walk that much. I walked only once that much in tracking i went when I was 20. I would love to walk everyday again but I have to wait until my daughter is bigger and can keep up with me.
Nothing happened this week. You can say the positive thing was there was nothing negative.

Haha, because I am crazy? At first it was just walking to discover Notting Hill, then I realised I had books to return to the library and didn’t want to wait for the bus so… I just did it xD
Yep, no negatives is a positive! xx

I tried the new block editor one day and after an entire day of struggling with one post that I usually can complete in 2 hours, I switched back to classic. Haven’t tried since. Congrats on your achievement! 🙌😍

Sounds like you had a lovely week – besides from your issues with NHS, of course. Glad you got it sorted and I agree, the nice British way only takes you so far, sometimes other methods are needed 😉 . I like Notting Hill as well, but have never particularly looked for any of the movie locations.

Well done you for fighting the GP, unfortunately that’s a common scenario here! ( in my experience anyway). Still no script for me! I have to wait for next week….
Looking forward to seeing these amazing shoes 💜
I haven’t seen The Split, but I will have a look.
The museum’s in London are fab. If nothing changed, they are free and there are lots of them.
My waves include:
A lovely Valentine’s card and box of chocs.
A delicious treat of a subway to myself.
Making enchiladas for the first time in ages and they looked and tasted great.
Speak soon Meggy xxx

Yay to you for making that fuss about your meds!!! How utterly rude to not have consulted with you about it. I bet it was the French cussing that did it:)
Congrats on that fantastic walk! You’ve given me motivation.
I love the movie Notting Hill, too and would LOVE to visit it.
Thanks for a wonderful post, Meggy💜
