Welcome to today’s Happy Friday! My remedy against feeling down is to make a list of all the good things in my life. It can be anything. Really, anything. The smallest gesture from a stranger can change your day, if you open your eyes. Now, I am a pessimistic and I need daily reminders to look for the bright side. Maybe you are too, or maybe the state of our world is weighing on you. In any case, here’s your shot at some happy things!
This week’s positivity was difficult to find. Indeed, I spent four days taking care of small humans and I really didn’t like it. I mean, REALLY.
On a brighter note, today marks the 30th Positivity Wave!!!!
- I was lucky to spend a wonderful afternoon with a talented author and it was really fun to walk around Bordeaux.
- Iris and Yûki cuddles every morning and evening helped a lot to go through this hellish week. Those babies are growing close!!
- Promises of good times ahead. I’ll be in London for a bit in December!
- Getting excited about a Christmas read despite my not loving the whole festive holiday.
- I LEARNED HOW TO JOIN A NEW YARN!!!!! Yes, I shouted that! I used this link and know I need to ask my Knitting Goddess Kate if I should cut the tails or sew them! (thinking of just cutting as it’s for changing colors and if I sew, it’ll show!)
- The blog has changed a bit and I am loving it!
- Iris being Iris made me smile a lot. Look at this face!!!

Happy Friday Meggy. That pic of Iris is so cute. And hey well done on the yarning. You are speedily learning this new hobby. ( I gave it up after a week 🙄).
Yay for London again, that will come around so fast.
Mmm a more difficult wave choice for me this week too, but as you did, I will find something.
1. Lighting candles to make the darker nights more cosy.
2. New wax coming through the post. I ordered it ages ago from China so it’s always a nice surprise when it eventually arrives.
3. Knowing it’s the weekend and I can switch my alarm clock off tonight. 😪
Hope we have more to waves to add next week Meggy.
Amanda xx

Hello, my fabulous friend ❤
Thank you for looking harder and finding positivity during a challenging week. I find those times important to force me to see even a teeny tiny light in those days. I need candles! Especially with the storms hitting the region! xxx

What kind of doggies do you have? They look similar to my Havanese. Similar colors, too! So cute!

I really love the positivity wave you do. If you don’t mind, I would like to do something similar on my blog. I’m a fairly new blogger and I am always looking for good, upbeat things to do on my blog. This is a great idea. Please let me know. If you do mind, I perfectly understand. I will, of course, give you credit for the original idea.

I didn’t know Debbie Macomber had written a new Mrs Miracle book so seeing this book on your post has made me happy today – I’m going to go pre-order it now! Two of the previous Mrs Miracle stories have been made into films and I love watching them every Christmas! I hope you enjoy this book 🙂 I had two happy things this week – the first was going to a concert with my husband, we had the best time! Then I had a lovely three hour phone call with my oldest friend. 🙂 xx

It’s gonna be my first Debbie Macomber, so I’m really excited to read it. Actually, I’m starting it today!
I’m so glad you enjoyed your concert! I love the crowd’s excitement in a full hall. Three hours on the phone?? That reminds me of me as a teen! I am not so comfortable talking on the phone anymore! xxx

Well, I think it is positive in itself to get through four days of something you really don’t like. You know what they say: If it doesn’t kill you, it makes you stronger! It sounds like a cliche, but there is something about it. And congrats with the 30th Positive Wave!

It almost killed me!!! But yeah, I feel better now, and I won’t repeat the experience, so it’s all good. Thank you! 🙂 x

I love festive reads, they are my favourite! This one looks good and I am sure I watched a movie based on this novel, starting that actress who plays mum in Everyone Loves Raymond.
I hope you’ll have good time reading it, and your dogs are the cutest!
