The Positivity Wave

Happy Friday! #ThePositivityWave 28

Welcome to today’s Happy Friday! My remedy against feeling down is to make a list of all the good things in my life. It can be anything. Really, anything. The smallest gesture from a stranger can change your day, if you open your eyes. Now, I am a pessimistic and I need daily reminders to look for the bright side. Maybe you are too, or maybe the state of our world is weighing on you. In any case, here’s your shot at some happy things!

The POsitivity wave without c`

  • The weather is finally cold enough to wear TIGHTS!!!!

  • I stepped up my game by increasing my FitBit steps goal, and it feels good. I love that a watch is helping me take care of myself. It’s simple, it does what I want it to, and it gives me fireworks when I work hard 🤣
  • This week, a Martha died!!! Okay, you might think it’s weird for me to put this into my weekly positivity wave, but anything that reminds me of The Handmaid’s Tale is a good thing so… I know, I’m crazy.

  • Beautiful pictures of London.
  • Watching my knitting projects grow… Slowly but surely! Nope, I won’t be showing my Christmas gifts!!!

  • A good night’s sleep. Well, a mostly good night’s sleep!
  • A cute Pumpkin learning French ❤️
  • Sleeping with a mosquito in the room without running away like I’m possessed (I got bitten three times… BUT I STAYED!!!! 🤣)

  1. Good on you Meggy for outwaiting that mosquito but BOOO to the bites!
I am thankful for surviving this week, having a date with my lovely OH to see ‘Joker’,making inroads into Christmad present making 💜
Not thankful for losing my reading mojo 😬

  2. Oh no for mosquito bites, but yay for being brave. Your knitting is coming along so well. I’m so impressed.
If you have finished A Handmaids Tale, is it time for Suits ?? 🤞
    My positivity waves include:
Having a whole week off work! Ahh the rest, the reading, the series I binged and best of all turning the alarm clock off. So I forgot on Monday and got woke at 6.30! But for the rest of the week I slept until I woke naturally. So good.
I also got my hair cut and curled, which looked good. 😊
    Happy weekend Meggy xxx

    1. I wish I could have killed that mosquito but between my bad eyesight and its super small size, I had zero chance!
Thank you! It’s taking longer to create what I want, but I’m enjoying the process.
I think I am postponing Suits because I don’t want to say goodbye!
What a lovely week off! I hope you’re rested and relaxed now 🙂 I’m sure you look beautiful with your hair! Have a wonderful week xxx

  3. I do love your positivity wave each week! I think my big positive for this week was my guinea pig Robson’s ecstatic reaction to a bath mat that I bought! He loves it so much that it’s now his and he runs around on it whenever he jumps out of his cage. He’s so funny! 🙂

  4. Well done on increasing your FitBit steps goal! One of my friends is addicted to FitBit, but I never got around to getting one myself. It is always nice to set goals and fulfil them though.

  5. I love my Fitbit too – Although with the school holidays I have been slacking. And I think it’s going to be a Sunday in PJs for all of us today 😀

Have a great weekend Meggy x

  6. I love that even little things can be positive when we look at them the right way. I am not sure about that mosquito though. I love my fitbit and when it gives me fireworks and vibrates, I feel so proud of myself. Great week and I hope you find all the tights to wear!
