The Positivity Wave

Happy Friday! #ThePositivityWave 27

Welcome to today’s Happy Friday! My remedy against feeling down is to make a list of all the good things in my life. It can be anything. Really, anything. The smallest gesture from a stranger can change your day, if you open your eyes. Now, I am a pessimistic and I need daily reminders to look for the bright side. Maybe you are too, or maybe the state of our world is weighing on you. In any case, here’s your shot at some happy things!

The POsitivity wave without c`

  • Fall colors! They make each walk rich with yellow, orange, and red!

  • Baking the best cake ever!!! I hadn’t taken the time to go near the oven in weeks, but yesterday morning I was up first and decided a little surprise would brighten the day. Sorry, no picture, it’s really good (and almost gone) but it looks like a random cake as I don’t do the “beauty” part.
  • My obsession with The Handmaid’s Tale made me mistake this parasol for a hanged handmaid 😂 I just can’t wait for the next season. I miss it so much that I’m forcing my friends to watch with me so I have an excuse to see it all from the beginning again.

  • Helpful naps without the headache after!
  • Memories to go through bad days.

  • A massive knitting delivery to keep me busy for the next year (or two, or three…)
  • This week’s selfie, taken right after a good walk in the rain!

  • Surprise book post from a French publisher I really like.

  1. Great post Meggy. I have not been well so have been in bed restless, haven’t read anything. Today I could sit up for sometime without feeling dizzy. So I am thankful for that

  2. Surprise bookpost is the best! Oh my, it seems you REALLY like your new hobby 😉 that is an impressive pile! I love the sight of it though, it looks so cosy to be doing on cold winter days, with a lovely cup of tea and a dog (or 2) at your feet. Such good memories, I’ll never grow tired looking at the photos of our lot!

    1. YES! I don’t read much in French, as you know, but I can’t resist this publisher!
Hahaha, I went overboard with the yarn order but I thought I might not get to order again before 2020 so I treated myself. Now I have enough small wool to last three years xD
I know! I look at our pictures a lot when I feel happy, or a bit down, or whatever. By the way, you’ll have to send me your pic of us in private cos your eyes are closed on mine!!! xD xxx

  3. I love seeing all the positives you find in your week. 🙂 We got caught in the rain this week, it absolutely poured down out of nowhere and all I could do was laugh at the ridiculousness of it – it had been lovely sunshine all morning up until that point. x

  4. I also love the colours of autumn. It makes for nice walks and also pretty crafting projects.
Wow that is a lot of wool / yarn ? you got. I look forward to seeing what you can make with it.
    My wave includes:
Finding out there is a Breaking Bad film on Netflix. Planning to watch it tonight. 😁
Finishing the last day of school knowing I have a week off.
My pupils smiles and laughs. Makes the hard work worth it always 😁👍
Hope your weekend is a nice one Meggy.
    Amanda xx

    1. I wish the temperatures would match the colors. Today again, it was too hot outside to do anything. And they say climate change is not happening.
Too many yarns!!! And it’s so tiny that making anything will take forever. But I love it anyway 🙂
      Happy Breaking Bad night! 😀
You better enjoy your week off, lovely! Rest, read, and do whatever you feel like doing ❤
      Have a wonderful week xxx

  5. Loved this post as always! And look at all that pretty yarn! I just love the colors, and at least you won’t be running out any time soon. 😉 Have a wonderful weekend! ❤

  6. Haha, I love The Handmaid’s Tale parasol. It is so funny, how the mind makes these associations! Also, I am glad you had such a great time in London at the Crime Festival 🙂
