Happy Friday! #ThePositivityWave 17

Welcome to today’s Happy Friday! My remedy against feeling down is to make a list of all the good things in my life. It can be anything. Really, anything. The smallest gesture from a stranger can change your day, if you open your eyes. Now, I am a pessimistic and I need daily reminders to look for the bright side. Maybe you are too, or maybe the state of our world is weighing on you. In any case, here’s your shot at some happy things!

The POsitivity wave without c`

  • Seeing the Positivity Vibe grow bigger and stronger! A special thank you to the Twitter love received today (Hi, Danielle!!), even before I posted this!!! You guys made me feel happy, and you erased the loneliness I sometimes carry along with me, being so far from my friend.
  • My weekly selfie! Silly but compulsory, especially as I don’t dress up and go out much due to the awful hell that is the weather!

  • Fresh apple juice in the morning.
  • BOOK POST! I have been really lucky this past week. I haven’t posted pictures of all the books yet because I’m trying to get good shots, but I’m immensely grateful.
  • Winning two Monopoly games in a row. Money, money, money 🤣
  • New and exciting plans for the year. I miss travelling…
  • Re-installing The Sims 3 on the laptop. I missed playing God, haha!

  • Waffles! I ate them too fast to take a photograph!
  • Incense that makes you feel calm and happy.
  • Sharing my reading nook with Iris every afternoon

  1. Your message to me made me happy. To know that you cared enough when you were down brought tears to my eyes. Happy tears.
I have been bluesy, life knocking me down a bit.
The messages I received on twitter perked me right up.

  2. I think what made me happy was that a) I think I decided I’m going to retire from my “day job” soon so I can read more, work on my blog more, and write my novel, as well as b) at my “day job” I raised $20,000 for a very good cause (I wrote the proposal)!

  3. I was looking for this post yesterday and I am so glad that you did post it. I don’t like to put pressure on you by asking if you are posting it, but love that for 17 weeks you have kept this going. It does make me happy that you write it. 😊. I can imagine that some weeks you don’t feel like it. But it makes you ( and me) find good things.
I used to love monopoly. I always remember my brother being such a bad looser. 🤣.
Ooh travel plans for this year…. exciting.
You got happy book post, I got happy snailmail ( letters). 😊💌.
    Other happy moments:
Having holidays from work and turning off my alarm.
    2. Spending the afternoons reading because I have free time.
    3. Walks by the water.
    4. A healthy salad that was nicer than I was expecting.
    5. Afternoon coffees while I reflect my days.
    6. Making a card for my friends daughters birthday with the knowledge that my friend and her daughter will appreciate that it’s handmade for her.

I hope you have a decent week Meggy. I’m off work now so if you need a chat anytime, I have lots of free time. 😘😘💛💛

    1. I had to look hard to find those moments, but I am glad I didn’t give up 🙂 I am surprised it’s already been so long! And even more surprised to see that people need it as much as I do! ❤
Haha, there's always a bad loser in the family!
I am definitely sending you something handwritten soon… 😉
Turning off the alarm is number one on my happy list when I work and then get holidays!
I miss walking by the water. I might do it soon, fingers crossed.
I'm not a salad fan, haha, but healthy and good sounds like a nice mix!
Thank you so much for being au rendez-vous each week xxx
