Happy Friday! #ThePositivityWave 15

Welcome to today’s Happy Friday! My remedy against feeling down is to make a list of all the good things in my life. It can be anything. Really, anything. The smallest gesture from a stranger can change your day, if you open your eyes. Now, I am a pessimistic and I need daily reminders to look for the bright side. Maybe you are too, or maybe the state of our world is weighing on you. In any case, here’s your shot at some happy things!

The POsitivity wave without c`

  • Pink flowers.

  • Book mail. I am still surprised every time I get a package, even after more than three years… I don’t ever want to take book mail for granted!
  • Wearing the first summer dress of the year.

  • The smell of coffee in the morning. I don’t drink coffee, but there’s something comforting in walking up into a room filled with the smell of morning.
  • My weekly selfie! Yûki decided to help.

  • Making it through the week one hour at a time.
  • Every tweet, comment, and message I received this week. Okay, technically, I could write this every week, but missing on two events I was invited to made me feel kinda lonely, so it’s a blessing to have all of you to chat with, even if we’re miles apart.
  • Annoying the lovely Johana Gustawsson with silly messages, videos, etc… to promote her next book! And getting to know someone new who bought her previous two! I love when it happens. It’s a good addiction, right???

  • Naps! I don’t know about you, but I can’t do without them!!!
  • Silence. I am rediscovering the power of being alone in a room, with the sounds of life around me, while I read, daydream, or think. Being able to spend time with oneself is very important (even if it can be scary when your mind is on overdrive!)
  • Not squashing any snails during my walks after the rain 🤣 I don’t know how I do it, but you can be sure that if there’s a snail on the sidewalk, my shoe is gonna find it!!!

  1. hahaha, I swear I never know what to expect from your posts. First, your wish to discover a body and now, terrorizing snails LMAO. I usually walk very far from any snail I see. Used to throw salt at them when I was younger but now, they gross me out.

Have a lovely weekend, Meggy 🙂

  2. I think I’ll go for my first dress of the year this weekend ;-). I already wore white pants, that’s summery too right :-). You look so elegant and I love those shoes! I bought pink flowers to put on my table and it’s such a small thing but yes it makes me happy just looking at them!

  4. This hasn’t been such a good week for me, because we found out my sister-in-law has cancer. Hopefully, it isn’t too advanced, and my husband is there with her now. However, the book I just reviewed made me happy, and I invented a recipe for butterscotch ice cream that is pretty good (but needs some tweaking for future batches), and that made me feel good!

  5. Yay another positivity wave. Love these and I look forward to them every week. It makes me consider my past week and the good bits.
Like you I love the smell of coffee in the morning. I can’t drink it until I’m properly awake though. Always tea first.
It hasn’t been hot enough here for a summer dress yet, but I’m hoping soon.
Book post never gets old or normal, it’s always good.
It’s the best feeling when people get books on your recommendation.
    My waves.
    1. Firstly and always, my pupils. Making leaps in their communication and having a day out in a soft play area.
    2. The days we get sun. I appreciate them as they don’t come often.
    3. Finishing a book that was ok and knowing my next read is going to be good. ( Fixed Odds by William McIntyre).
    4. An unexpected gift of a new craft magazine.
    5. A bubble bath.
    Thanks Meggy.

    1. ❤ I always look forward to your comment on those posts.
I doubt I'll ever enjoy drinking coffee, but I will forever love the smell
I also love hearing about your pupils. It's so easy to stop seeing what or who's around us, and to know you always have a special place for them is so wonderful.
Take the sun we get in Bordeaux, PLEASE! I fainted again because of the heat! 😦
Fixed Odds is on my reading list for the weekend! I just can't wait! I'm reviewing an audiobook narrated in a STRONG Scottish accent, it's really fun!
I need to stop forgetting to buy bubbles for the bath!
Thank you for your positivity, and your friendship xxx
