Happy Friday #ThePositivityWave 4

Welcome to today’s Happy Friday! My remedy against feeling down is to make a list of all the good things in my life. It can be anything. Really, anything. The smallest gesture from a stranger can change your day, if you open your eyes. Now, I am a pessimistic and I need daily reminders to look for the bright side. Maybe you are too, or maybe the state of our world is weighing on you. In any case, here’s your shot at some happy things!

The POsitivity wave without c`

What made me happy this week?

  • Watching Buffy The Vampire Slayer to cheer me up.

im the thing that monsters have nightmares about

  • Choosing my new glasses!
  • Getting outside without a coat!!!
  • Discovering Sephora is now selling Laura Mercier products and finding the perfect foundation shade! No more orange Trump-like face!!! 😂

  • Watching Yûki and Iris get closer ❤️ There’s nothing sweeter than baby love.

  • Parking my car without scratching it!!!
  • A spring-cleaning on social media. It feels really good to choose who to interact with!

  • Choosing to watch I Feel Pretty on Netflix and having a good time.
  • Receiving a beautiful book in French from a publisher I respect.
  • Reading Cosmopolitan for the first time this year. I used to read it each month and although I think the content is not as interesting as it used to be, it felt good to get back to it.
  • Not crashing my inbox when refreshing it every two minutes!
  • Listening to I Remember You by Yrsa Sigurdardottir.

  1. Happy Friday Meggy 😘 I was gifted 2 glorious Orenda books yesterday AND I signed up for 2 blog tours for other glorious Orenda books and all that has made me very happy this week 💜 Also: 🌞

  2. Love these posts Meggy. And happy to see your happy moments. So I will share with you some of mine from this week.
    1. School holidays so I get to turn off my alarm.
    2. I spring cleaned my house.
3.I’m going to a book fair next week.
    4. I was offered a book for a tour in June ( as were you ) which is a legal thriller based in Scotland. It’s going to be so good.
    5. I made a lovely tea parcel to send to a wonderful Frenchie 💗😉
    Happy Friday Meggy.

    1. Thank you for sharing you happy moments 🙂 I wait all week for this light post to erase all the negativity I read and see!
I am so out of the school system that I keep forgetting about holidays until roads get congested!
Love the house spring cleaning! I’d do the same if I didn’t have a single room!
Oooh yeah, we are in for a treat with this book!!
Aw, lovely! ❤ You really didn't have to! I'm so happy! Thank you!
Enjoy the book fair and let us know how it was! xxx

  3. I have had some lousy news in my personal life so I am kinda shell shocked. I was worried about my health. I seem to holding on.. That’s my struggling positivity. Sorry darling ❤️

  4. I’ve not heard of Laura Mercier before but I’m definitely googling this next 😀 Love your happy moments of the week. I don’t think I have to tell you what made me happy 😉 easter eggs, trying a new coffee (snow white latte – yes I chose it solely its name) and book post! What a great start of the weekend. I hope you’ll have a great weekend too sweetie!

    1. This foundation is miraculous! My skin has never looked so beautiful and healthy!! I’m in love xD It feels so good to write happy things! Especially after a few reviews of crime fiction, haha!
Snow White Latte… I like the name! Too bad I don’t drink coffee! Have a wonderful week, love! xxx

        1. Now I’m craving tea :p
Seriously, I’ve been using this foundation for a week now, and I’ve never looked better!! The coverage is medium to full, you can really put the layers and see the difference without ever getting that weird old lady or prostitute look xD The skin looks dewy and perfect, almost as if you’re not wearing anything! And the light! Wow! Careful though, there’s no sunscreen in so you have to add in underneath! xx

          1. That is news! I had already googled it and read one review that said the coverage was light and I need good coverage (like the Clinique anti-blemish that we both used before 😉) so I kind of put it out of my mind. Now you put it back in 😜😆 Oh can I ask if you wear a daycreme too? I had a sample of Kenzoki (or something), a bit blue textured, and I loved it.. I’m thinking about getting it just for once. It costs way more than my L’Oréal that I get in the supermarket though 😋

            1. I found it to have a much better coverage than the Anti Blemish! I always had to use the Benefit Pore Professional with the Clinique foundation, but with Laura Mercier, there’s no need! My skin is normal to combination, so I try not to put too many layers. I use the My Clarins range for skin care, including the day cream, makeup removal and cleanser. It cost a little more than the supermarket products but I have been using the same bottles for two months! And it’s vegan and animal-cruelty free. I love the Korean LaNeige brand, it’s super hydrating and works well as a makeup base. (I sound like a pro :p) xxx

              1. You are a pro 😄 I’m going to search for it! They don’t have Laura Mercier here at ICI Paris XL stores but I’ll find it! I used the Clinique 3in1 range for make-up removal but I had more bad skin (and they were biiiig bottles). Happy that’s finally empty now 😋 Thanks again for the info 😘❤️

                1. I had to become one because of my hormonal issues due to the endometriosis 🙂 They’ve only started selling Laura Mercier in Sephora here a couple of months ago. I was so happy I almost cried, haha! The same thing happened to me with the Clinique 3in1! Too abrasive! xx

  5. These posts make me so happy ❤ I haven't gotten outside without a jacket just yet, but I could feel the sunshine and warmth for a day or so here and I appreciated it SO much as well ❤
I hope you'll have a wonderful week my sweechie ❤

  6. Lovely post, Meggy. Your happy list always makes my day. My highlight for the past week was traveling 8 hours to attend a wedding. The culture and the people were simply wonderful.

    Have a great week.
