Happy Sunday, guys! Let’s ease back into our Sunday routine with a tag! I wasn’t nominated but saw this on Norrie‘s blog (go check it out!) and thought the Nice/Naughty theme was perfect for a rainy January day!
Received an ARC and not reviewed it?
Guilty… I requested a book on NetGalley and forgot to download it before the archive date… Stupid, I know!
I currently have… a certain number of ARCs waiting but all will be reviewed! Well, probably 90%. There are a couple I won’t like, or won’t be inspired to write about.
Have less than 60% feedback rating on Netgalley?
Not since I realised there was a rating ratio, haha!
When I first started using NG, I didn’t know about it and went on a request spree…
Rated a book on Goodreads and promised a full review was to come on your blog (and never did)?
I don’t think so! If a review is missing, I probably forgot to add it but it’ll be on my blog. I don’t rate a book if I don’t plan on explaining why I chose the number of stars given.
Folded down the page of a book?
Accidentally spilled on a book?
I didn’t. The dogs did it!
DNF a book this year?
Bought a book because it was pretty with no intention of reading it?
Hmmm no. I don’t see the point. I don’t buy for pretty only!
Read whilst you were meant to be doing something else?
Every day! Should be practicing English? READING! Should be listening to a conversation I am supposed to be taking part in? READING! Watching TV? READING. You can read instead of doing almost everything!
Skim read a book?
Only if I have to review it and I’m not getting the good vibes. I’ll skim read before reaching the book tour organiser / publicist… Otherwise, I like the words to take me on a journey and you can’t do that if you don’t read for real!
Completely missed your Goodreads goal?
Nope, but even if I did, it wouldn’t matter. Yes, it feels good when you add numbers to Goodreads, but the real deal is to enjoy what you pick, not read for the sake of reaching a goal.
Borrowed a book and not returned it to the library?
Nope! I have been late in returning books but have always brought them back to their home for others to enjoy.
Broke a book buying ban?
What the heck is a book buying ban? :p Of course I have! I have no willpower when it comes to books. But there are worse things in life!
Started a review, left it for ages then forgot what the book was about?
Unfortunately, yes… The guilt NEVER DISAPPEARS! Seriously!
Wrote in a book you were reading?
Only mandatory books for university! I prefer to use Post-It notes. They’re colourful, pretty, and you can take them off!
Finished a book and not added it to your Goodreads?
Yes. Some books are not listed on Goodreads, others are read for work and so shouldn’t appear online…This is why I keep track of my readings in a separate spreadsheet.
Borrowed a book and not returned it to a friend?
I am not so mean!!! I would never do this! Friends have done it to me and I hate it, so why would I do it?
Dodged someone asking if they can borrow a book?
Yes… So many books were lost because I kindly and innocently lent books. I do not forgive!!!
Broke the spine of someone else’s book?
Who do you think I am? A Serial Book Killer?
Took the jacket off a book to protect it and ending up making it even more damaged?
I don’t think so. I hate it when jackets get damaged from a trip in my bag but I don’t take them off, they are part of the book. Do you go out without panties? You can’t expect your books to go out without them either!
Sat on a book accidentally?
Yep. My butt is guilty!
Nice = 8 / Naughty = 12
I’m a naughty book lover! 😂
