September 2018 Wrap-Up + Book of the Month … @carolinesgreen @HarperCollinsUK @HarperFiction

I’m such a rebel! Once again, I am posting my wrap-up fifteen days after the usual deadline. I feel powerful :p

sept wrap up

What’s New?

I’m 28 for real now but I’ve been saying it since January so… The good news is I don’t dread my birthday any more. Big step!

I moved house! Hello Bordeaux!

I walked up to Mark Billingham and Craig Robertson like an adult to say hi. Random for you, massive what the hell moment witnessed by my Curly and Sweet.

I am not over the ups and downs of September but despite it all I feel I’m growing and slowly getting where I’m supposed to. Thanks life for throwing us out in a dark maze with no map, no Google app to help!

My bank hates me.

My flamingo is named Albert and his wife the pen is Stirling. Say hello!

Books I read this month

And this is the moment I facepalm and curse about why I didn’t keep my spreadsheet and/or Goodreads up to date!

I’m pretty sure I read more than this but the great thing with late wrap-ups is that your head doesn’t remember a thing!

Books I reviewed

Shadow From The Past: The Vanishing Season by Joanna Schaffhausen @slipperywhisper @TitanBooks

Lazy Saturday Review: Zero by Gine Cornelia Pedersen trs @rosie_hedger @nordiskbooks

New Books (won, purchased, for review, whatever)

This is where the madness begins. Bloody Scotland, oh I was so naive. I thought I could manage to bring home a couple of books…

DnzA4QGWsAANJcf.jpg large
Proofs, bought books, signed books… Oh BS, I love you!

Books read so far this year: 80
Impending NetGalley: 39 (+3) yes, it’s going up instead of down and my Kindle died… when I wanted to deal with it! I miss my Paperwhite 😦 Help!)
Other ARCs to read: 29

Owned unread e-books: 181 (+5)
Owned printed books to read: 131 (+22)
Ps: those numbers include the October additions I’ve made so far!

The end of the world can come, I have ammunition!

Book of the Month Award

This month is a no-brainer, although I’ve had a great time with most reads, my Book of the Month is… Originality, creepiness, and the blurred lines of right and wrong. Yummy!!

don't you cry

Blogging time!

This Week in Books (September 5th 2018)

Wednesday Treat: Heart Swarm by Allan Watson @allanwatson12 @BOTBSPublicity

Not so many posts, but that’s how it happens sometimes. Real life fun happened, and I managed to stay away from my laptop for FIVE full days without any withdrawal symptoms!

I hope September was a good one for you and that October is treating you well! See you in fifteen days! I promise!

  4. What a HAUL! To be honest, I would have done the very same if I were at such an event in Scotland and, just if I were in Scotland and could manage to bring as much as I can back haha.
I hope that October has been treating you well so far, love! Sending you hugs xxx

    1. Haha, I just couldn’t stop! I was so happy to see the authors, so in awe of everything that was said, I just had to get all the books!!! It was an adventure to bring it all back to France without paying extra fees :p
October is bittersweet but okay 🙂 And even more okay because it’s your birthday month!!!!
