May I take this month and kick its bottom away? May Wrap-Up

Oh my gosh, I have never been happier to see a month gone! I felt I raced against time and the universe for 31 days! But I won!!!

may wrap up

What’s New?

I am a free woman!

I think that sums up May. I no longer am a student. My student job is over. I made it through the year and no matter the results, I am proud of myself. Being able to say it is the biggest step I have taken. Champagne!

I don’t want to think back of what I have been through, it doesn’t mean anything. I just want to move on to new things and my new life!

Books I read this month

In time of crisis, I find comfort in books, so it doesn’t come as a surprise that my busiest month of the year is also quite nice in terms of reading…

No disappointing books, another riveting read by Louise Jensen and a new meeting with Varg Veum… Happy me!

I have decided to keep track of my reads with numbers, so I’ll add a few as my Goodreads challenge doesn’t take into account all of my reads!

Books read so far this year: 43
NetGalley to read: 22 (this is so going to change this summer!)
Other ARCs to read: 22 (same!!!!)
Owned unread e-books: 114
Owned printed books to read: daren’t count xD

Books I reviewed

Whatever Happened to Spring : Sunflowers in February by Phyllida Shrimpton @shrimpyshrimpy1 @HotKeyBooks

It Will be the Death of You: The Lies We Told by Camilla Way @CamillaLWay @HarperCollins #BlogTour

It’s always safer to stay between the pages: All of this Is True by Lygia Day Peñaflor @lygiaday @dh_books #BlogTour

Keep your Friends Close: My Sweet Friend by H.A Leuschel @HALeuschel @RaRaResources #BlogTour

Need a Book Hangover? Dying Truth by Angela Marsons @WriteAngie @bookouture #killerbook #KimStoneSeries

#NordicNoir Favorite: Big Sister by Gunnar Staalesen @OrendaBooks @annecater #BlogTour

Over the Rainbow: No Fourth River by Christine Clayfield @ClayfieldChris @Bookollective #BlogTour

I’m also very happy with my brain for getting the strength to write reviews!!

New Books (won, purchased, for review, whatever)

I did not buy any books this month! I did receive a couple but because of everything that has happened, I have lost track! I’ll make sure to have proper pictures in June!

Blogging time!

More blogging on the way! Not just me posting, but giving back all the blogger support I’ve received since.. Well, since forever!

Why I’ve put blogging on the back burner and why you won’t hear much from me until June 1st!

  3. I am glad and sad May is over. On the one hand, I was just super exhausted by the end of it, but then I am going to miss acting and socialising with people on a regular basis haha
(And just as a reminder because you aren’t the busiest of busy bees at the moment, don’t forget about Arcadia hahaha – sorry, selfish me couldn’t resist …)

  4. Wow you are a rock star!! Congrats on finishing your studies!! ❤ ❤ You so deserve it… And you had such awesome titles to keep you company as well. (I'm kind of tempted to give you my own unread books details; I'm sure you will feel a lot better about your own afterwards. xD ) Have a wonderful June my dear!! xx

  5. Congrats on finishing school, Meggy and thanks for sharing your journey with us. I hope that June will be good to you in all areas of your life. Cheers! Oh and Happy reading 🙂

  6. Hey superstar Meggy. Well done on all of those hard days, weeks, months of study. You have done it! So now time to really enjoy. I know you have been looking forward to June and July for a while. I hope it lives up to if, not exceeds all your expectations. You have Karen and Orenda, that is excitement for a start, let alone being in London!!! So cool.
Yes, you have a huge pile of books to read, but it gives you plenty of choice of where to start. Don’t rush them, enjoy them. This is YOU time. Looking forward to hearing your June wrap up!! 😉
    Amanda xx

    1. I prefer my Princess title :p Thank you so much! I am so grateful to have had you by my side this year ❤ I am enjoying my first days in London and learning how to cope with things that don't go your way, haha! But it's a wonderful time and I am more than happy.
I need to remember not to rush! I won't be reviewing much this month I believe. It's a shame my blog gets put on the back burner again but I need to work and I've been neglecting my English so I'm planning on devoting more time on it. Me-time sounds so cool. I had a fabulous me time alone in the middle of London, getting lost and finding my way back. I never thought I would feel so free just doing these little things such as taking a bus or wandering around. xxx
