March 2018 Wrap-Up

I completely missed last month’s wrap-up, so this one might be a little longer… Or not! Despite a busy life, nothing changes much! Let’s see where this goes…

march wrap up

What’s New?

Last weeks of my publishing program! Possibly the worst, too! A thesis, two publishing projects to create from scratch, and exams are coming. I’d prefer winter again. Okay, lame joke.

My internship in a French publishing house is over. 5 weeks of work, good and bad things. I still believe I belong, I just need to find the right place.

I went totally crazy. Madly crazy. A year ago I wasn’t leaving my home. This month, after an email inviting me to the London Book Fair, I bought tickets and I’m ready to go. My therapist is not happy, but I am! It is going to be a massive challenge, I’m not stupid, but I definitely believe it won’t be as difficult as what I am going through with my studies. I have grown, I need to make dreams come alive, and I have the opportunity to do it, so let’s plunge and see!

Thank you to everyone who voted for the Book Blogger Awards, I’m still shocked about the news!

My English studies have evolved and I know work daily with a teacher to get better, although you might not hear it in the video below xD I apologize for the quality of my speaking! And the low quality of the video in general. If I had decided to record again, I would have lost the will!

I feel old. I feel old. I panic. I love life. I hate days. I am afraid. Ups and downs, but we are warriors 🙂

Books I read this month

Not bad at all! I haven’t reached the 15 titles per month goal I had set but I had some amazing reading time.

Books I reviewed

  1. You can do it! Good luck with everything and enjoy London Book Fair. I won’t be going (no time off work), but do get in touch and perhaps we can see each other in the evening or something.

  2. Oh my oh so brave and inspirational Meggy. I am so proud of you. London will be so amazing. My thoughts are trust your gut and believe in your self. Remember always how far you have come. It will be very hard to come to London with the thoughts in your head of what your therapist said. But you can do this and when you get there and go to those book awards you will be so proud of your self. I can’t wait to hear all about it.
Nice to see your vlogging again.
Love and best of luck for the awards.
    Amanda xx

  3. I am proud of everything you have accomplished so far. GET SOME SLEEP! And then I am sure you will rock your thesis and you will have so much fun at the London Book Fair. Also, you so deserve those nominations and COOONGRATS ❤ ❤ ❤ I believe in you and have no doubts you will be able to achieve anything you set your mind to. (Also – Don't worry about your English! Everyone will understand you just fine!!)

    1. Oh honey ❤ You're here every step of the way and I couldn't be more grateful! Ahah, I wish my brain would let me sleep!!! The next 53 days will be difficult but then I'll have the reward of going back to London, so I'll do my best! THIS IS SO SWEET! I admit those nominations made me smile, it was the first time!! xxx

      1. I believe in you and you can do it! London is a great thing to look forward to and counting the days might not make it go any faster, but it’s still something to count towards and that can lift the spirits!! 😀

  4. You ARE a warrior! Take care of yourself and you’ll get there with the thesis, if it’s a month away just remember to get a night or tons of proper sleep, you’ll be more productive, and take care and go you! Yay the book fair. Enjoy!!

  5. So nice to hear about your work, what you have to do in the bookstore! I totally envy you that you’re going to the London Book Fair, I don’t know where you find the courage to do this and I wish I was more like you.. you’ve come from far behind me and now you’re totally rocking the world! You are going places and making your dream come true and I’m so happy for you! I’m also very happy with your nominations, it’s totally deserved! I don’t know who else is in your category but I do hope that it’ll be bloggers that I know that win in every category :-). You’ve read 10 books this month, that’s pretty amazing if you ask me! On a final note: happy to see Pretty Girls on your readlist and I have Pretty Baby on my readlist as well, I hope to read that one as well euhm someday 🙂

    1. The London Book Fair thing was totally spontaneous… Something I never do! I’m so not the spontaneous type! So, no courage, just the need to fulfill a dream! 😀 I have no idea how those things can happen and how I manage them. I just go with the flow. I’m lucky to be surrounded with lovely and supportive people, I think it helps a lot!
My book list is making me happy, and going a bit crazy, haha! xxx
