I completely missed last month’s wrap-up, so this one might be a little longer… Or not! Despite a busy life, nothing changes much! Let’s see where this goes…
Whatโs New?
Last weeks of my publishing program! Possibly the worst, too! A thesis, two publishing projects to create from scratch, and exams are coming. I’d prefer winter again. Okay, lame joke.
My internship in a French publishing house is over. 5 weeks of work, good and bad things. I still believe I belong, I just need to find the right place.
I went totally crazy. Madly crazy. A year ago I wasn’t leaving my home. This month, after an email inviting me to the London Book Fair, I bought tickets and I’m ready to go. My therapist is not happy, but I am! It is going to be a massive challenge, I’m not stupid, but I definitely believe it won’t be as difficult as what I am going through with my studies. I have grown, I need to make dreams come alive, and I have the opportunity to do it, so let’s plunge and see!
Thank you to everyone who voted for the Book Blogger Awards, I’m still shocked about the news!
My English studies have evolved and I know work daily with a teacher to get better, although you might not hear it in the video below xD I apologize for the quality of my speaking! And the low quality of the video in general. If I had decided to record again, I would have lost the will!
I feel old. I feel old. I panic. I love life. I hate days. I am afraid. Ups and downs, but we are warriors ๐
Books I read this month
Not bad at all! I haven’t reached the 15 titles per month goal I had set but I had some amazing reading time.
Books I reviewed
Sea Sick or Life Sick? We Were the Salt of the Sea by Roxanne Bouchard @OrendaBooks @RBouchard72
You Canโt Escape What You Did: I Know Where You Live by Pat Young @py321_young @Bloodhoundbook
Set Fire to your Life : Love after Love by Alex Hourston @alex_hourston @FaberBooks
Sing for your Life: Annieโs Summer by the Sea by Liz Eeles @Bookouture @lizeelesauthor #BlogBlitz
Wow, not so many reviews! I’m a tad disappointed here!
New Books (won, purchased, for review, whatever)
My dear friend Flo is on a mission to make me love Japan again!

Oh my oh so brave and inspirational Meggy. I am so proud of you. London will be so amazing. My thoughts are trust your gut and believe in your self. Remember always how far you have come. It will be very hard to come to London with the thoughts in your head of what your therapist said. But you can do this and when you get there and go to those book awards you will be so proud of your self. I can’t wait to hear all about it.
Nice to see your vlogging again.
Love and best of luck for the awards.

I believe in you and you can do it! London is a great thing to look forward to and counting the days might not make it go any faster, but it’s still something to count towards and that can lift the spirits!! ๐

The London Book Fair thing was totally spontaneous… Something I never do! I’m so not the spontaneous type! So, no courage, just the need to fulfill a dream! ๐ I have no idea how those things can happen and how I manage them. I just go with the flow. I’m lucky to be surrounded with lovely and supportive people, I think it helps a lot!
My book list is making me happy, and going a bit crazy, haha! xxx
