Suntag: The New Year Book Tag

Admit it, you’ve missed my Suntags! πŸ˜€ I thought it would be nice to reunite with these little weekly posts and celebrate the bookish year to come.

I’ve seen the New Year Book Tag around and it sounds perfect to chat a little about what’s to come here!

How many books are you planning to read in 2018?

I’ve set my Goodreads goal to 70 despite my wish to avoid pressure and my hectic schedule. Yep, this is my logic! I think I’ll try not to think too much about it, but I really hope I can find time to relax and read more than during the recent weeks! I managed to read one year on the first day of 2018, so I should be okay, right?

Name five books you didn’t get to read this year but want to make a priority in 2018?

THE WIDOW!!!! For Books God’s sake, this book has been on my TBR forever!!!!

Name a genre you want to read more of?

Fantasy, Sci-fi, and contemporary! I need to squeeze them in between my usual bloody crime stories!

Three non book related goals for 2018?

Nope, not doing goals! Goals sets expectations, expectations bring pressure, pressure… Well, you get the idea! 2018 is a free year!

What’s a book you’ve had forever that you still need to read?

Can’t answer The Widow again, can I?

The Private Sector

One word that you’re hoping 2018 will be?

Memorable! I’ll make sure it is, for the good reasons!

  3. Thank you for the tag Meggy. I agree with you that goals mean pressure! I haven’t heard of The Widow so I shall look forward to your thoughts on it. 2018 will be a brilliantly bookish year I’m sure.

    1. And we all know pressure is bad! But I’m terrible at keeping away from it, haha! I have waited so long to read The Widow I’m now afraid my expectations might kill the story! But I am enjoying every minute of my reading and I intend on doing so the entire year! I hope you get the best of stories just when you need them xxx

  4. Yes finally woman, read The Girl In The Ice and become a fan like the rest of us :-). I remember you were going to read more sci-fi last year and was happy not to see too much of it haha. Nah, I hope you can accomodate all your followers and squeeze some in this year ;-). Happy reading this year!
