A Video Review of Broken Bones by Angela Marsons! @WriteAngie @bookouture

Hellooooo! I am so excited and happy to present you my first ever video review! And it’s not any review! It’s a Kim Stone book one!!! Thanks ever so much to Kim and Angela for including me in this project! I had lots of fun recording myself but Oi! Reviewing on video is awfully difficult so I hope it won’t be too boring to watch! I definitely have missed points I wanted to talk about so you’ll see a Goodreads review pop soon! I did not dive into details as it’s a series, so it’s all about feelings and discovering!

They thought they were safe. They were wrong.
The murder of a young prostitute and a baby found abandoned on the same winter night signals the start of a disturbing investigation for Detective Kim Stone – one which brings her face to face with someone from her own horrific childhood.

As three more sex workers are murdered in quick succession, each death more violent than the last, Kim and her team realise that the initial killing was no one-off frenzied attack, but a twisted serial killer preying on the vulnerable.

At the same time, the search begins for the desperate woman who left her newborn baby at the station – but what looks like a tragic abandonment turns even more sinister when a case of modern slavery is uncovered.

The two investigations bring the team into a terrifying world of human exploitation and cruelty – and a showdown that puts Kim’s life at risk as shocking secrets from her own past come to light.

So.. Lots of OMGs in there, and I am not sure this is my best review but what a great way to share with you my feelings about the book. I need to read the entire series now!

Have you read Kim Stone’s series? Are you addicted? I am!!!! And it’s only been one book!

  1. I have only read her first one (3 years ago or so) but she’s on my list! I want to read the rest because even to today I can remember the opening chapter, it made such an impression on me and I also remember where she took me so that means it’s a really good one. Love your review and I hope to catch up and read number 7 too one day. Lots to look forward to!

  2. What a nice surprise to get a video review from you. The book sounds ‘Oh My God” amazing!! 😉
It was nice to hear you speak so relaxed and naturally about a book you enjoyed. The review style is different from your written reviews but it is a good different.
I hope you do more of these kind of reviews.
    Amanda.

    1. Haha, I just couldn’t hold back the OMGs! I now know why so many people talk about Angela, I finished the first book in the series, and it’s just as good, I am addicted now!
Thanks a lot for watching! I wanted a relaxed and nice video and this project was fun to make! I’m glad you enjoyed it, and I’m surprised I was indeed quite relaxed when recording it!
