Suntag: The Mystery Blogger Award

It’s been forever since my last Suntag! It’s time to talk about myself again! (That sounds so egocentric. Well…)

mystery-blogger-tag.png

I would love to thank Ronnie @ronnieturner.wordpress.com for nominating me, you are a star! I’m pretty I was nominated by someone else but I can’t find the link! I’m so sorry! I love you too!

You know the drill, first come the rules!

  • Put the award logo/image in your post.
  • List all the rules.
  • Thank whoever nominated you and leave a link to their blog.
  • Tell your readers 3 things about yourself.
  • Nominate 10-20 people and notify them.
  •  Link back to the creator of the award.
  • Ask nominees any 5 questions of your choice, with a weird or funny question.
  • Share the link to your best/favourite post of yours.

Three things about myself

It looks like we bloggers really love talking about ourselves!!!

#1 I hate jellyfish! I can’t stand them since I was stung once as a kid. They’re ugly, useless, and I wish we’d get rid of them. Yes, I’m still angry years later. It hurts like hell.

#2 I don’t find feet particularly beautiful. Useful, yes, but nice to look at? Yikes.

#3 I can finish any of the first five Tomb Raider video games in record time.

The questions!

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

A non-original classic: New York City. It’s my ultimate goal regarding agoraphobia and I’ll do my best to experience what’s been in my mind for 16 years already.

What is your favourite music?

Hm depressing music? I’ve been listening to the Broken Heart playlist on Spotify for weeks, haha! I love a bit of country, pop, I think it depends on my mood, so whatever feels good at the moment. Except Justin Bieber and techno.

What do you enjoy doing aside from reading?

Baking!!!! When my eyes are too sore to stand staring at a screen and I need to keep myself busy, I lock myself in the kitchen (not really, we don’t have a door to the kitchen…) I put some music on, and I bake lots of cakes because they always cheer people up.

happy-new-year

What is your favourite movie?

Stepmom. Julia Roberts, Susan Sarandon. A subject close to my heart.

Recovery. David Tennant and Sarah Parrish. Amazing performance.

Take Care. Thomas Sadoski. Fun all the way. Go-to movie when very sick.

The Incredibles. Because I don’t like many but this one gets me every time. Frozen is a close second.

Yes, there are five movies, but I make the rules, it’s my blog! (the truth is I can’t choose between those!)

If you could meet one author and ask them to sign your book, who would it be?

Michael J. Malone. Because A Suitable Lie!!! But just one isn’t fair! Louise Jensen’s autograph would be so amazing too!

My Questions

#1 Which fingers of your right hand is your favorite?

#2 You have 5% of battery left on your phone and on your Kindle, only one electric plug and 30 minutes to use it before you are stuck for hours with no electricity. Which device do you charge?

#3 Have you congratulated yourself this week for anything at all? If the answer is no, find something, anything you did, and congratulate yourself, you deserve it.

#4 Salty and sugary snacks?

#5 What’s your favorite tree?

If you are not used to it yet, you should know my questions are weird and/or crazy 99% of the time. That’s the way I like them! I made an effort with the snacks one…

My favorite/best post

Hard one! I have started being proud of my reviews, but I feel there’s only one blog post that fits here. The one I wrote the day I decided silence was not my friend, the day I let my anxiety fill the room and the page, to take away some of its weight.

Do You Trust The Ingredients List? My 100th post, some ramblings and a confession

The Nominees

There’s no obligation, no punishment, just the fun of tagging some of the fantastic people around here!

Have a great bookish Sunday!

  3. Thank you so much for the nomination.. I’m so happy you thought of me because I love your questions… I love them so much I already know how I’m going to answer them 😄 hehehe…

I am so jealous of people who bake… I always manage to screw my baking up one way or another… sigh… I don’t know if it’s because I’m not able to stic to the recipe or something? I mean, you’d think- how hard can it follow the instructions, right? But I always just… stray from them 😄

    1. I just HAD to have you nominated for those questions 😁😂😂 I just cannot wait for your answers, we’re gonna have some fun!
I like baking more than cooking because technically, if you fallow the recipe exactly, you get a nice result, but cooking is full of adjustments and all, it’s way too complicated!

  4. This post made me giggle so much! You really are still so angry about the jellyfish, aren’t you? (I don’t blame you though) Also, I hate feet too – they’re so ugly and horrible! I’ve never heard of the film Recovery but it sounds really good so I’m making a note to look out for it. I love your random questions for the people you’ve tagged… I’m intrigued to see their answers now! Haha! 🙂 xx

    1. Well, my post achieved its goal then! 😀
YES! I’ll forever be angry for the awful pain it gave me! I know they say it’s bad to hold on to anger, but those stupid things are of no use!!! xD
Feet are weird, we use it (or not!) but they don’t look good, like something that has been added at the very end of creation because we couldn’t stand on our ankles!
Recovery is beautiful, sad and so full of emotions. I cry every time I watch it, David and Sarah have done such a wonderful job with this difficult subject.
You can do the questions to if you feel like it 😀 I just love coming up with questions people don’t expect! xxx

      1. Hahaha! You remind me of my husband when he rants about wasps – he always gets angry about there being no point to them! Makes me laugh 😉
I’m definitely going to try and watch Recovery, it sounds like my kind of film and I can’t believe I’ve not heard of it before.
I’m hopeless at getting round to joining in with tags but I may do yours at some point. 🙂 xxx

  5. Yeuch jellyfish are gross!! And yeah, I can’t see the aesthetic beauty in feet either 😉 And that’s very impressive about Tomb Raider- I don’t know what it is about that game, but I was never able to get *anywhere* with that series! So I’m very impressed 😉 Ahh I love the Incredibles so much!! And in answer to your question, I’d pick my phone because it has a kindle app as well 😉

    1. I was obsessed with Tomb Raider because it was the only thing that linked me to my father, the only thing we had in common 🙂 I spent so many Halloweens disguised as Lara, I had the exact same long hair 😀
Yes, I would also pick my phone!! But the battery lasts longer on the Kindle!

      1. Ah I can understand that- for me and my father it was Heroes 😉 (shame that show went off the rails!) awww that’s so cute!!!
Yes- true!!! But I can access my blog from my phone too… so phone still wins 😉 Maybe in this (theoretical situation) I’ll put on battery saver (I’m taking this wayyy too seriously 😉 )

  6. And who’s posting a picture of her feet ;-)? Lucky you’ve got great feet :-). My colleague once told me I had cute toes so I guess they’re ok. I don’t like peeptoe shoes though or sandals, I don’t want anybody to see my toes. I tried on her new shoes in case you’re wondering how she got to see my toes ;-). Great answers (I totally have to see 2 movies of your list) and questions but I’ve scheduled this one for tomorrow already (yes you’re on my list too) so I guess that evens it out :-).

  7. Hi Donna. Thanks for tagging me. I haven’t done this tag before, although I think I might have been tagged before.
I also would love to go to New York. You see it in many films and it looks amazing.
I haven’t heard of Recovery with DT. Think I should look that one up.
I like your weird and wonderful questions! Favourite finger???? Strange but funny and not in the least boring. It makes me want to do the tag. And good one about congratulating, we all need some self praise. So when its done, I will link you in.
    Thanks again.

    1. Yeah, New York is shown so many times, it is everywhere we look. I’d also love to visit all of the UK and spend an entire summer there when I feel good enough for that. It’s closer and I like the weather 😀
Recovery is a bit hard to find, at least it was for me, but it’s totally worth watching, so moving and with an excellent cast.
I just love surprising people with weird and silly questions because I’m interested in the tiny details that make up people:) I cannot wait to read your post!

      1. Whenever you do make it to the UK, I would love to show you a bit of Scotland. Personally, I’m not so keen on the weather, I’d love to live somewhere with lots more sun. But its a good place to visit.

  8. Ohh I’m really not a fan of jellyfish either. I don’t think it’s because I’ve ever been stung by one, I just really don’t like them, but I do love baking! I haven’t had a chance to bake anything in so long but besides blogging it’s one of my favourite hobbies. Really need to get back into it in that case! 😀
Great answers for this tag Donna. 🙂 ❤

  9. Oh I love the movie Stepmom! And jellyfish are super weird! I’ve only ever seen them in aquariums, not in real life. When they’re behind glass they can be pretty, but in real life I bet they lose their beauty really quick!

  10. Twin Pea I bake also! ❤ I say we change your goal from New York to Portland and we can bake up a storm while discussing books and sipping tea 😉 I will not tell Charlie that you dislike jellies. He is fascinated with them, as he wants to be a marine biologist haha.

  11. Thanks for the nomination my dear!! ❤ I will definitely find time to answer these questions this month.

Pssst I hate jellyfish also; up until the point I don't even go into the sea whenever I see one. My worst experience/nightmare? One day in Southern Italy I decided to go for a swim in the sea, cristal clear water nothing in sight… About 50m into the water, I suddenly found myself surrounded by no less than ten! huge purple jellyfish. Yikes! I don't think I ever swam faster than that particular day. xD

      1. I’ll be looking forward answering them. 😉 And that was possibly my worst ever sea experience ever, and I love the beach. It took me a while to brave the water again after that haha.

  12. Thank you Donna! ❤ I also love Stepmom, byt the way, watch it for the millionth time this past January and bawled my eyes out haha

Depressing music? haha I'm a total hippie with music, I love Woodstock stuff 😀
