Hello Stranger…

I am back!

The WordPress log-in page feels unfamiliar, the administration board looks complicated and ominous, my fingers can’t find the right keys on the board. This is it. I have lost the habit of blogging.

Okay, enough with the drama-queen act. I can’t believe I haven’t posted in more than a week neither have I visited or commented on any blogs!!

The only good thing that came out of this forced hiatus (despite real life amazing stuff!) is that I realized I’m addicted to blogging. Yes, the signs have been visible for a year but it’s another story to realize and accept it! Even if I couldn’t actually do anything, I kept thinking about it, and I couldn’t help check social media for some happy tweets and news. The question of whether or not this addiction is healthy is another story, but I am relieved and happy to be back!

Lots of things have happened and I’ll bore you all with this in this month’s wrap-up post. In the meantime, you’ll have to do with a picture of my feet!

I have a lot of catching up to do because we all know the blogosphere doesn’t stop turning when you are not here, so if there’s a post of yours you’d like me to check, don’t hesitate to leave a link! I probably won’t be able to go back to all the posts from the previous days so I’m sorry if I missed some of your awesome reviews and posts!

Now it’s time for Chocolate’n’Waffles and me to go back to work full time. We have lots of nice things to share,Β I’m particularly eager to share a review I’ve been holding for weeks!!!Β So expect a lot of Donna around again! (If I don’t end up in spam jail…)

  1. Haha that gif is so over the top! I can’t believe you’re already wearing sandals like it’s summer over there! Is it weird that I’m very distracted and trying to come up with the book you’re reading :-). Yes I want that review that you’re sitting on for weeks now! I’m happy you’re back !!!

Haha, don’t bother with the book, I DNFed it! It was Pirates of Venus… Should have stayed on Venus!
      THE review will be online…tomorrow!!!!
Thank you ❀😘😘 Time felt so long without the time-consuming hobby that is blogging!

  2. It’s a funny thing feeling addicted to blogging isn’t it? I felt like that last year, like I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I guess there is a healthy mix. I feel at the moment I have lost my writing mojo, I hope it comes back soon. I still really enjoy the reading though ( books and blogs).
I have to say I missed your posts this week so I look forward to your wrap up and review posts to come.

    1. Definitely. I think it finally dawned on me how important it has become in my daily life and how I feel there’s something missing when I don’t blog. I try not to go into binge-blogging because I’m afraid of losing the motivation to blog. But the balance is difficult to find!
I hope your writing mojo comes back from its holiday soon so I can relish your fantastic reviews more often πŸ™‚
Thank you so much! May is gonna be busy, I have plenty of posts, some already waiting, and lots of blog tours! xxx

  4. Welcome back Donna. πŸ™‚ ❀ It's been strange not seeing your posts on WordPress but I imagine your hiatus must have been a nice break, especially after the Orenda Month craziness, and hopefully you got a lot of reading done as well! πŸ˜€

    1. Aw thank you! I’ve missed blogging so much! I hadn’t realized it had become such an important part of my daily life! It’s crazy. I’ve missed the hobby as much as the people πŸ™‚ It was actually a busy and stressing time, so the break is happening now, with my dear blogging and reading, hahaha! xxx

  6. Welcome baaaaack!
Gosh, what I wouldn’t give to just disconnect from blogging and social media for a month! I’d get so much reading done and not have to worry about whether I replied to someone or not πŸ˜„
But anyway… I can’t to wait for the monthly wrap up post now just to read what you got up to πŸ˜‰

    1. THANK YOUUUUUUU ❀
The thing, now whenever I read or finish a book, I need to talk about it on social media, or update my Goodreads page or start writing the review! Social media have become so attached to my reading habit that when I miss one part of it, it feels wrong!!

  7. So wonderful to have you back!! I really missed all your posts!! And I’m the same- I’m completely addicted to blogging now- it kind of crept up on me and I only realised how much I *needed* it when I was forced off for most of last week!!
