Hype or Like Friday #2 April 15th 2015

hype or like friday meme

Hype or Like Friday is a meme created by Larkin, Britt and Jill . Check out the Goodreads group to know more about it and stay up to date with the weekly discussions and book of the month.

This week’s topic:
Q1- If you could travel through time, where would you go? (A particular event in time, decade, etc.)
Q2- If you could travel to a fictional place, where would you go?

If you could travel through time, where would you go?

As this group is all about hyped things, I’d love to check the 80s to see if all the hype around that decade is justified. I keep hearing about how cool life was back then, how creativity reached its peak and artists were flooding the streets. Well, it’d be nice to see for myself. Also, think about all the fun it would be to try the very special (to say the least…) haircuts and outfits so fashionable then.

I mean, look at that hair xD and I did not choose craziest one!

If you could travel to a fictional place, where would you go?

No big surprise here. I’d take a one-way ticket to Hogwarts. How many times have we imagined ourselves living inside the walls of the greatest magic school? I’d love to spend my days exploring the place, learn all its tricks and hidden rooms, feel the magic all around. Childhood all over again!

And you, where would you go? 🙂

  1. I’m actually with you on both of your answers to these questions, firstly Hogwarts. Definitely without a doubt.

And the 80’s perhaps 90’s, I was born in 1994 but would love to have been older so I could experience Fresh Prince of Bel Air and Saved By The Bell for the first time again haha!

    1. I was born in 1990 so I missed the 80s by a year, haha. I’ve always been wondering why people are so nostalgic about this decade. And Hogwarts ❤ There is no other place.

  2. I think Harry Potter is definitely going to be majority for this one! I feel like we all picked it, haha! And I love it. That’s what makes HP such a game changer in terms of it’s impact on society and pop culture. 🙂

  3. I love your post! The 80s was an awesome decade. I rocked the multi-colored layered slouch socks and the hot pink shirts for a few years when I was little until we progressed into 90s fashion. I should go dig up an old picture from when I was only a few years old. And I had the crazy DJ Tanner hair, too. Haha! I loved scrunchies. HP is definitely a given for all bookish people. It would be so fun to visit the Wizarding World. 🙂

  4. I would go back to the 80’s for the exact same reason! People hype the 80’s up so much, I wonder if it really was the “best”. I was born one year after you, so I missed it as well. I’m nostalgic about the 90’s too. I just I don’t think I do it on the same level as the people who miss the 80’s.
