April is the month I catch up with all I’ve left behind, starting with tags! I was nominated by the banana-good Orang-Utan Librarian, thank you! ❤
- Mention the creator of the tag (Ayunda @ Tea and Paperbacks).
- Thank the blogger who tagged you!
- Choose one of the options, you don’t have to tell the reasons why you chose that but you can also do them if you want to.
- Tag 10 other people to do this tag to spread the love!
One: Reading on the couch or on the bed?
I have an awesome couch that I love with all my heart. It has an armrest that I use as my desk, there is always a stack of books, my notebook and a tea mug on it, it’s my favorite reading nook. I only read in bed when insomnia strikes, which is more often that I’d like.
Two: Male main character or female main character?
I tend to connect better with female main characters.
Three: Sweet snacks or salty snacks when reading?
Sweet, sweet, sweet all the way. I’ll only make an exception for pistachios. Or Lays salted chips.
Four: Trilogies or quartets?
I’m not fond of series but I have a feeling trilogies do better. 3 is the right number.
Five: First person point of view or third person point of view?
Ouch, hard to say. I love to sneak in a character’s mind the way the first person point of view allows you to (Sociopath club member) but it has to be extremely well-written to work. Also, your scope is limited as you only get to follow the main character. But a third person point of views might be confusing when there are too many characters. If I had to choose (which is the case for that question duh!) I’d say I love third person pov focusing on a single character.
Six: Reading at night or in the morning?
I love reading at night but I don’t really have much time, and I’m working afternoon shifts which means I get all my mornings free. I’ll have to say in the morning, at least for now.
Seven: Libraries or bookstores?
I love bookstores but I always end up frustrated because of my tight book budget so I’ll go with libraries, even though I hate bringing back a book I fell in love with.
Eight: Books that make you laugh or make you cry?
There are so many reasons to cry that I choose laughter whenever possible! (That sounds pessimistic and depressive, I swear I’m fine 😀 )
Nine: Black book covers or white book covers?
White covers look good on my bookshelf!
Ten: Character driven or plot driven stories?
What is that question? Torture? Hmmmmm. A good plot supported by weak characters will bore me, I need authentic three-dimensional characters to enjoy any story so… character driven it is!
(feel free to ignore if you’ve already done it or don’t feel like doing it 🙂 )
